Workflow

1. Project Definition

An initial meeting with the client in order to produce and overview of the project. Topics discussed include:

  • Company overview
  • Audience Definition
  • Technical specifications
  • Project timeline
  • Maintenance Plan

2. Site Structure

Diagrams of the website’s structure, content/functionality outlines and wireframe mockups are drawn up in order to give the client an idea of what the final product will be. They also serve as a roadmap for future development and must be approved by the client in order to proceed.

3. Visual Design

The wireframes are fleshed out and made to look like the final product. This generally involves a short cycle of getting feedback from the client and refining the design until a final design is selected and approved by the client.

4. Site Development

At this point, the technical specs are confirmed and the project timeline is reviewed and adjusted if necessary. Then the website is built and coded according to the prior design and technical specifications.

5. Test and Refine

From here, the website is tested for quality and functionality and revised by the client.

6. Launch

Once approved by the client, the website is launched and made accessible to the public.

7. Tweaking and Maintenance

The maintenance plan originally drawn up is implemented and the website is tweaked according to information gathered from web analytics.
